DO YOU WANT TO GET INVOLVED IN YOUR COMMUNITY AND MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE?

Community Builders is a group of individual volunteers from churches and community organizations that focus on building relationships with families experiencing poverty.

Community Builders work with neighborhoods and families to build capacity and help families reach their goals.

Currently we have 3 programs:

Next Steps - building relationships and building capacity with APS families experiencing homelessness.

Getting Ahead - Building on assets and resources to get ahead. This workshop is a deeper dive wtih APS families expereincing poverty. Each participant walks with a community builder volunteer for the next year.

Laundry Love - is our program in local laundry mats and is a great opportunity for a church or community organization to build relationships with families while meeting a basic need.

SHINE IS LOOKING FOR FACILITATORS AND MENTORS AND OTHER VOLUNTEERS FOR THESE PROGRAMS. WE WILL PROVIDE ONGOING TRAINING AND COACHING.

To learn more about our community builders programs and opportunities to get involved as a volunteer or facilitator. Please join us for an informational lunch from 12-1 on Wednesday October 13, at New City Church.

Lunch will be provided.
