Our agenda is to support the school and help it succeed. We do this while respecting the separation of church and state.
We encourage churches to recognize and respect the expertise of school staff. We come alongside to fill in school-identified needs and gaps.
We are people of our word. We follow through with all promises. We are careful to under-promise and over-deliver!
We believe that churches need to be committed to the long-term needs of the schools they serve.
We must come to deeply believe that every person, no matter how destitute or broken, has something of worth to bring to the table. Shine works to provide opportunities of development for families in need.

others to do for themselves
Betterment does for others
How we demonstrate compassion has everything to do with whether or not people actually feel valued. My giving you something out of pity is ultimately saying to you that you have nothing of value that I want in return.
“Perhaps the deepest poverty of all is to have nothing of value to offer in exchange.”
(Compassion justice and the Christian Life, Robert Lupton)
Shine works with the school to provide opportunities for families to develop and work to get themselves out of their current situation. Events can be created according to the needs of the families at the school.
